- ALL chemicals need to be placed in designated closets, and locked while Individuals are present at the Program.
- Building Security and HVAC.
- With summer here already, a reminder to staff that if the temperature is above 80 deg, the garage shall not be propped open for ventilation.
- Unless actively using a doorway, all doors shall remained closed and locked for both the above HVAC concern along with building security. The only exception is the main office door which may remain unlocked at the discretion of the admin staff.
- The Back door now has all staff’s pins (generally the last 4 of their SSN), if you are unsure, test before you close the door by just entering the pin in, it should turn green for a few moments.
- Parking
- When parking vehicles, do not overhang the sidewalk, this makes it difficult to navigate for many of our folks and for wheelchairs.
- Beaks
- Meal and break times are currently provided to relax and refresh you for the day’s work. Since each worksite and staff’s needs are different, ask your manager for the meal and break schedules for your area. Generally, employees are offered two 10 minute breaks per four-hour shift, three 10-minute breaks in an eight-hour shift in addition to meal periods.
- Usually, meal periods are 30 – 60 minutes in length and breaks are 10 minutes long. While meal periods are counted as unpaid time, approved break periods are included in your paid work time. You are prohibited from performing any work while on your unpaid meal period. Most of our Day Program sites allow you to eat meals during the lunch period with the program Participants and are paid time.
- Notify your Program Director immediately, if your unpaid meal period is shorter than 30 minutes or if your lunch is interrupted by work. Unpaid break periods may not be combined into a longer break or combined with unpaid breaks or taken close to the beginning or end of a shift.

Let us embody a unified front in embracing change, as we map a way for those who may find transition challenging. As a team, let us offer support, solace, and flexibility during times of change, fostering an environment of unity, compassion, and understanding.
